Have many of you guys been able to check this one out? Preston here at DVDTalk gave has already posted a review for the film/DVD which you can check out by clicking here, and gave it the DVD Talk Collector Series rating.

On RottenTomatoes the film has a score of 98% overall and 100% CotC, at IMDB it has a 7.9 score, and the MetaCritic rating is 88.

This little indie flick is without a doubt, one of the finest films of the entire year. I'd put it up against just about anything else that you can think of. I can't remember the last time that I watched a film that was so raw and honest in the emotion presented. The acting is so natural and real, and because of that as well as the very small budget and camera work, it feels more as if you are standing just a bit outside the boundaries of real life peeking into these private moments between two individiuals, instead of watching a narrative film. It's an extremely basic story, but it's presented in a way that makes it into something so much more. Not to mention that it has one of the best soundtracks in a very long time, but that's to be expected since the film is pretty much a modern musical.

I could watch this one over and over and over and never get tired of it, and I'm willing to bet that the emotion would remain just as strong each and every time.

I give this my highest recommendation, so check it out once it hits DVD on the 18th.

A really good film, t'be sure, t'be sure. And to be sure, comments like "welcome to 6-7 months ago" are a little unfair due to the often scattered release dates of films, particularly indie ones. I saw Ratatouille about 4 months after everyone else, but that didn't stop me being excited enough to come here afterwards and post my thoughts on it despite it being "so 4 months ago".

There's a quote for the DVD jacket.

I wasn't a big fan of the film.

Trivia: The main song appears in a scene in "Feast of Love" (which I enjoyed much more -- I love Greg Kinnear).
