It's not spam, the price dropped this morning. Not everyone is looking through the 20% off thread, and I thought this deserved it's own.

and i thought the $59 amazon price i paid was a good deal! i was semi-relieved when i saw the masterpiece collection was $80ish when the 20% off sale started... not worth the trouble to try and get one from DD and return the one i got from amazon though... or is it?

The OP didn't intentionally try to insert an affiliate link because dvdtalk.com has configured its vBulletin forum software to automatically convert links pointing to deepdiscount.com to affiliate links.

Try posting any direct deepdiscount.com link to see for yourself. Use the "preview post" option to test it without actually posting a message.

^ where would we go/how would we find out if they do? i know they have the pre-order price guarantee, but do they do standard price-matching as well? i'm in the same boat as you.

To the best of my knowledge, Amazon does not price match other sites. Sorry.

I'm in - I already own it, but it makes a great holiday gift...let's see them try to cram this into a padded envelope!

It seems every purchase I make as of late is followed by someone offering that product for a lower price just days later. I keep getting screwed in this regard.

Awesome! I hadn't bought any DVDs during this sale, just 2 storage units (I need them bad). But I definitely couldn't pass up this deal. Thanks OP!

if you didnt open the set from the recent amazon sale, i would actually try emailing amazon about this (through "your recent orders" page). explain the situation and just let them know if you cannot get a price match, you will return the box to them.

hey you never know! of course, actually returning the set will save you about $10 total i figure, since you would prolly have to pay for return shipping.
