Help identifying a Band with a dog in it

I swear my friend told me of some band that had a lead singer that was a dog, like a real dog such as a pit bull or something. It was super heavy metal with a dog growling.

I thought I remembering the name being something like Canus or something but I can't find it anywhere.

Anybody have any ideas.

It's actually two pitbulls, but I'm sure the website says that.

Don't forget about the parrot-fronted metal band, HATEBEAK. They were around a little bit before Caninus, and put out a split record together.

I thought about throwing my hat into the ring and having my Shih-Tzu lead a Black Metal band, but eh... the idea has been done and I'm too lazy to record him.

Thanks for the responses. I was passing the info to another group of friends and nobody believed me, so I needed proof. Mission accomplished.

Oddly enough they all heard of the band with the parrot lead singer.

Rolling Stone might have missed the boat on Hatebeak, but the editors of Parrot Chronicles were on top of things...
