Why can't I quote messages?

I didn't know where else to ask this.

I've never been able to quote other people's posts when I reply. I see a checkbox to quote but it is grayed out and not working. How are you people doing it?

I'm using firefox on a PC. does this feature not work in firefox? I am logged in to my account here so I know its not that and I can't seem to find any options or anything that would be disabling it.

Forum Feedback and Support
Post forum feedback and related problems, here.
That forum probably works better.
But I have heard that some people who use a peice of adblocking software have this problem. If you are, disable it for dvdtalk.

If you have McAfee, it treats the "quote", "edit" and "reply" as advertisements for some reason. However it can be disabled for just this site by reconfiguring your set-up

The buttons on posts are on the ad server, specifically to keep people from using ad-blocking software on the site.

More info here.

Yep, it was the adblock plugin for firefox that has been preventing me from doing this for all this time. Thanks everyone for the help!
