this will definitely make it harder for me to resist upgrading to a high def format. i still remember my friend and i seeing this in the theater and being completely blown away by the action.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a John Woo commentary. 2 discs definitetly makes this a must buy. Three years ago, I gave up on this getting an upgrade and shelled out $14.99 for the barebones edition...ughhh. Oh the price of impatience...now I can dump that one along with Commando.

This was one of the first R-rated movies I saw in theaters, and one of the first that in the words of Eric Cartman warped my fragile little mind. Have loved this fucker for all 10 years, and it's more motivation to go to HD-DVD for me. Also my first Paramount DVD that I owned...remember ordering this from Reel.com back in 1998 (!). And I sold my copy three years ago when Blockbuster started their $8 trade-ins, and have waited patiently since then.
And it seems that every DVD is coming out in time for my big 20th on September 24. RoboCop SE, Kill Bill, Death Proof, and now this. A must-want.

A movie about fighting a terrorist being released on 9/11. Interesting. Will definitely get it.

Looking at DVDempire, Paramount has lined up a Nicolas Cage and John Travolta collections as well as triple features for both the actors all on 9/11. They have the John Tavolta collection labled as his thriller collection to kind of make it seem different than the Nic Cage collection, they both have Face/Off included.
John Travolta thriller collection - Domestic Disturbance Face/Off the General's Daughter
Nic Cage collection - Face/Off Snake Eyes World Trade Center
John Travolta triple feature - Face/Off The General's Daughter Domestic Disturbance
Nic Cage triple feature - Face/Off Snake Eyes Bringing Out the Dead
They all feature Face/Off - What is confusing about this is the Travolta thriller collection/triple feature have the same movies included, must be a mistake on DVDempire. I am glad I already own most of those movies. If you buy all these you will own 4 copies of Face/Off on dvd, 2 copies of Snake Eyes on dvd, 2 copies of Domestic Disturbance, 2 copies of The Generals Daughter.
Ok, enough is enough.......
Looking forward to the Face/Off 2-disc set.
