The Game

Superman: The Movie has footage that starts smaller than the normal aspect ratio.
Same with Galaxy Quest

I think one of the older Scorcese movies, Mean Streets perhaps.

Magnolia has something of the sort. But it's not 8mm...it's more like a kinetoscope or something.

Is Field Of Dreams one? I think it may start with a combination of photographs and 8mm footage.

Guess I'll be the first to say 8mm. It didn't start with the footage, but it was within a few minutes of the movie starting.
