Talladega Nights & Saw III $5.50 @ Wal-mart YMMV

Haven't seen this deal posted elsewhere. I saw a large display in a Wal-mart in west Tennessee advertising Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Saw III for $5.50 - lots of copies of each. There were several small indicators on the shelf that these were '$19.xx' but now $5.50. A quick check tonight at amazon.com and a few other sites indicate they aren't this cheap anywhere, but perhaps I'm wrong.

Sorry, I can't be more exact with a location. I was passing through late at night and pulled in to Wal-mart for a restroom break. Couldn't resist a trip through the DVD section since I've read other 'YMMV' deals and never know what to expect. I didn't make a purchase tonight but am heading back that same way tomorrow night and am tempted to stop back in.

As I understand it, Wal Marts all over the country purchased huge quantities of Talladega expecting overwhelming sales, and now they're all stuck with boatloads of 'em and it's up to the individual store to clearance them out. I guess this is why some places still have them at high prices and others have them super cheap. According to a thread on CAG a while back, some places are even selling them at $1.00.

Thanks for the info. I have the Talladega I got on BluRay for free with the PS3, so I'd pick it up for cheap to get the supplements and check out the extended cut. I hope I could find one for $1

I remember a few weeks ago they had a couple tables filled with DVDs two of them being Saw III and Talladega Nights. The other day they had 'em on the shelf on clearance for $9.99. If they were $5.50, I'd pick them both up. Maybe I'll make a trip to other Wal Marts...

I was at Wal-Mart last week and they had a TON of Talledga Nights for 7 bucks. I might pop by this weekend to see if they've been lowered. I don't recall seeing a bunch of Saw III tho.

I saw Talladega in one AZ Walmart location and it was $5.50 -- but only for the full screen version. Are yours wide or full that are on sale?

Both WS & FS were available. I did stop back through on my return trip home and picked up a copy of each title. FYI -- It was the Wal-mart in Union City, TN.

Was able to purchase a 2 pack WS unrated Talladega Nights/Groundhog Day at the Middletown, NY Walmart for $10 this morning. Did see both WS & FS Talladegas in the 2 for $10 bin.

2 weeks ago I saw Talladega Nights and Superman Returns for $5.50. Since I already had both I only picked up the Widescreen Theatrical Edition of Talladega Nights since it had scenes and features not on the Widescreen Unrated version.

Most local, non Wal-Mart stores in my area had terrible sales of the Unrated Talladega Nights, whereas the WS Theatrical cut was in high demand for a few months.

Talladega Nights is still $14.96, and Saw III is still $19.96 at my local Wal-Mart.

There is a huge bin of these at one of my WM, but both are full price still... Seems kinda pointless to have the bin!

I did not see either of these deals at Walmarts in Dallas while I was hunting for the OZ deal.

I will keep looking out.

This is still alive. Tonight I saw Superman Returns and Talladega Nights for $5 at Wal-Mart. Managed to get the last widescreen rated version to compliment my unrated slash and hack. $20 isn't bad for a two disc set.
