Ultimate Versus $24.99 at Best Buy
I know it's not that hot of a deal but it's $10 cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. I just went and picked up my copy with a $5 rewards certificate for $20 so I'm pleased with my purchase. I do believe this is their regular price as well and not a sale price. My copy had the price sticker of 24.99

well, when Ultimate Versus was made (with the money he was paid from godzilla, that being kitamura), it lost that "video camera" feel, and became a budgeted movie feel. You may want to keep your original for those reasons.

I'm glad I finally picked this movie up. I had wanted to get it for so long but when I heard the older 2disc version just had the second disc in a little cd sleeve inside it that kind of deterred me. But I couldn't pass this up, plus its in a sweet steelbook and now that I've seen the movie I love it.

10% off up to 3 DVDs, 12% off some big ticket stuff or other (sorry, I ignore those :S)

Grrr... Why didn't I look at this thread BEFORE buying it this morning? I guess if really wanted to, when the coupons come in, buy it again with the coupon and then return that copy with my old receipt...

Glad I decided to pass on buying the $$$ R2 (Jpn) version.
Looking forward to watching this one tonight.

This might be a stretch, but some parts make it feel like another film altogether. ... and not necessarily in a good way.
There's a different intro to Tak right in the beginning that I felt was totally dumbing down the nature of the film. And a lot of the add-ins were better left out.
The soundtrack, extras and color corrections are well enough to repurchase the film alone - if you are a fan of the first. It's a seriously kick ass package!!! ... and a side note on the color correction, they should have been consistent with it as it was only applied to a certain percentage of the film. ...which I found sort of strange.
Bottom line ... see it first before you ditch the original SE.
As a disclaimer - I'm a huge fan of the original!!!

Well, I never received my BB coupons so I guess it only goes out to certain reward zone members? Grrr.
