i feel bad for hoku, the "another dumb blonde". r.i.p. don.
btw, wikipedia is quick stating "Hōkū Christian Ho, whose name means "star" in Hawaiian, was born in Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, to the late Don Ho and the former Patti Swallie, who used to sing in his show."

DVD Talk Legend
My boss was just singing "Tiny Bubbles" at work a couple days ago.
Whenever I hear Don's name, I always think of his appearance on I Dream of Jeannie, and he sang "Ain't No Big Thing".

He was a legend in Hawaii. He's been having health issues in recent years, but he was an institution and Oahu will feel a little emptier without him. He managed to parlay one novelty hit into a decades-spanning carreer and made him the face of local tourism around the world; what Wayne Newton is to Vegas, Don Ho was to Hawaii.
