On a side note they also had 3rd Rock S1 for that price, but at the register it came up sale not allowed. The Manager tried to tell me it was not release yet. I said it had been out for a few years. They are already up to like season 5 released. He said well I cant overide it anyway. As Carlos says Dee Dee Dee. Whoever heard of a company that wouldnt sell their product.

Doesn't this release contain the syndicated episodes? Could a re-release with original cuts be in the works?

Yep, these are the syndicated episodes.

season 1 is syndicated, but 2-7 are all uncut thus far, for under $10, may as well add it to your collection for completists sakes, I'm not even a big fan of the first season anyways.

Try again... I just got back from Sams where I picked up a copy for $9.23 with no hassles. Also saw Rosanne Season 1 (Yes, the episodes are the syndicated versions) and quite a few TV-on-DVD season sets for $13.48 each:
Gilligan's Island Seasons 1, 2, and 3
Murphy Brown Season 1
Night Court Season 1
Wonder Woman Seasons 1, 2, and 3
Kung Fu Season 1 (I think there were others but don't remember)
Family Ties Season 1
There might have been a few others I did not see as there was a 2nd layer that I did not check out because I did not feel like lifting the top layer off.

Are you sure about the Family Ties set? I was at Sam's today and saw all the same titles you mentioned at $13.48. The Family Ties 1st season was 25 bucks or so...

Are the other seasons $10 as well???

not sure, I've seen the other seasons for around $20, but they must be practically giving season 1 away because of the edits. Personally, season 1 is my second least favorite season of the show (I felt like the first season was just not the same show it grew into when Roseanne took more control of her series) so while I was upset at first, when I heard season 2 onward was going to be uncut, I got over it because I almost never watch the first season anyways.

Not without going back to double-check. But in retrospect it was probably either "Growing Pains" or "Full House" simply because I would have passed those 2 up but would have picked up "Family Ties" at that price.
