Fred Meyer: Some Disney DVDs on sale plus $3-off coupon

Buried in the Fred Meyer ads for this week was a one-page flyer showing several Disney DVDs on sale:

$14.99
  • Chicken Little
  • Alice In Wonderland
  • The Emperor's New Groove
  • Narnia (One disc)

$16.99
  • High School Musical (Encore Edition)
  • Toy Story 2
  • The Incredibles
  • The Little Mermaid
  • The Fox and the Hound
  • Cars
  • Robin Hood: Most Wanted Edition
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
  • Cinderella III
  • Peter Pan
  • Finding Nemo
  • Monsters, Inc.
  • The Wild

They also have a $3-off coupon good for any DVD priced $13.99 or more. This will work on the above titles even though they are already on sale.

you can also double up the manufacturers coupon with the store coupon for over the hedge which is in the ad as well. The coupon is in another thread here.

Uhhh... that kind of "piggybacking" (high-level couponer technical term there ) NEVER works at my Freddy's! Which one do you go to?

Really they accepted manufacturers coupon and store coupon always for me. You have to be careful your store coupon isnt actually a manufacturers coupon. Sometimes they reprint them on their colored paper coupons and they look lke store coupons but arent.
I go to the ones in wa state.

Oh, I totally get that, but I use the ones that Freddy's themselves provides (like the $3 one OP mentioned), and they'll never accept their own AND a manufacturer's coupon at my (Portland) Freddy's... would've been nice to get Flushed Away at a decent price!

i guess you just have some anal people at your store. As it is totally valid deal but some clerks are just difficult. Try telling the electronics people you want to buy it in the grocery area. Get a bunch of grocerys and hand the coupons at the end. They never look to close and it will scan with no problem.

Now, you would think that will all the couponing I do for groceries, this thought would have crossed my mind, but... it hadn't! Thanks for the tip! I will try it this week and report back!

you could try to use them at the self-checkout, too. I'd think they'd go through.

That might actually be worse, especially if you were only buying the DVD. At FM, I think you need to give any coupons directly to the monitoring cashier instead of scanning them yourself. They might question the use of two coupons (although they SHOULD allow it since one is a store coupon and the other is a manufacturer's coupon).
