The Natural Gift Set at Best Buy

Although the Ad says this is $22.99, the online price shows $19.99. Linkified . Not bad considering the sale price for the Director's Cut DVD alone is $17

I printed out the BestBuy.com listing for this and they did a price adjustment for me reflecting the the $19.99 on-line price (from the $22.99 scanned price) That's only a couple bucks more for the box set over what they are selling the stand-alone DVD for... not bad at all.

Thanks for the heads-up. I got 4 of these for me and friends so this will save us a collective $12 when I go back and get the price adjustment.

Check your discs before you leave. My DVDs were all loose inside the case. Now I have to go and exchange it.

I picked up the gift set, got home and my discs have Japanese menus! I'm really curious if this is an isolated incident or if more sets have the same problem? I'd appreciate it if others who bought the gift set could post as to whether their menus are in Japanese.

EDIT - This appears to be due to the player I was using, which is all-region capable, but I still can't figure out why it's happening.

I don't think Best Buy ever has any codes. They do have coupons from time to time though, but more often than not they exclude items that are on sale.
The only way I'll save a little bit on this is by using the BB credit card (2%) and e b a t e s (1%) so that I'll almost recoup the 5% sales tax I have to pay. At least the OP saved me $3. Thanks OP!

That's what I did. Pretty good price for this limited set. I dunno how limited, but it is only 6 per store, so that sounds pretty limited...

When I went back to exchange mine they only had two left. This one sounds pretty limited.

Minimum 6 per store is what the ad states.

My store had about 10 of these and the weird thing is that I used the BB store computer to get a price match right then and there and the online price was listed at $22.99. So I will just go "the pick up at store" route...

They have already been sued over this, but the in store computer is reflecting the in store prices not the website.

Btw, does this set have the slip-sleeved DVD? Or is the sleeve not included?

Cardboard slipcover is on the outside of the shrinkwrapped DVD case. Has a matte, aged finish to it.

At least at my Best Buy, all of the slipcovers for the dvd (non gift set) were damaged. So if the slipcover (which is nice btw) is that important to you, perhaps the gift set is the way to go.

Hey. I wanted to buy this solely for the hat.
To anyone who owns the gift set: How is the hat?
Is it cheap looking and flimsy or solid baseball cap?

It IS nice, I unpacked new releases this week and it really caught my eye. And I'm a sucker for them in general anyway, heh

Velcro strap?
It sounds cheap.
Meh.
I ordered it online and am waiting for it to come in the mail. It should be here this afternoon.
If the hat looks weak I am so returning it to the store.

I am a "hat guy".
I have very high standards cuz I am a loser. ;c)

I love the Natural.
And loved when I saw the gift set with the hat.
I immediately pre-ordered it and it then occured to me that it would be a cheaply made hat that would be a "bonus" to a DVD set.
Grrrr.
I can't wait for it to come. I am nervous.

Did I mention that I am a loser?

Damn Wish I had seen this before I bought it. For 3 bucks, if I'm around there in the next day or two I'll get it adjusted.

I was a bit annoyed by the sticker out the slipcover. Why don't these companies check these things to make sure that the sticker isn't going to leave shit all over the cover when you try to take it off?

The hat has a velcro strap, the structure is fitted with little forehead real estate, and the logo is outlined in red (in the flick, it's orange). It's also on my head right now and looks pretty damn good.

Movie rocks, too.

i found out today that best buy now matches their online price.
i bought the natural gift set tuesday, then went home and ordered online for in store pick up.
today i went in to pick up the order and also had the receipt from the first one i bought to do a return with the pick up order.

i told her that i did this because the store won,t match the online.

she said we do match our online price so you dont have to do this anymore.
