Best way to take sticker residue off of DVDs
Hi
I just bought a few DVDs that regretably had security stickers on them. After removing the stickers I was left with quite a bit of sticker residue that is very hard to remove. I made the mistake of inserting one of the DVDs into my machine that still had residue, and it promptly got stuck!
I saw a thread about taking stickers off of boxes, but I wanted to know what is the best, safest way of taking sticker residue off of DVDs themselves. I don't want the art on the DVD to be taken off, or have any damage to the DVD so I am unsure of how to proceed.
Many thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks...Is Goo Gone readily available at stores, I have never seen this before?
I removed stickers that the rental store placed on them. They were security stickers, so that when you remove them, they leave residue on the DVD.
I bought these off of Half.com and the sellers did not mention that the DVDs had stickers on them. I would never have bought them if I knew.
how'd you get sticky residue on the actual dvd itself?

Mineral spirits (aka paint thinner) works well for me, just don't use "Gum Spirits of Turpentine". The Goo Gone I haven't tried for this purpose and it seems like overkill since I use rubber/disposable gloves when working with it; but to each their own.

Eh. Goo Gone is too expensive. I just use zippo fluid and they works just fine.
I saw some people who works in CD stores use transparent tape to take them off and it also works.

another vote for Goo Gone.
I bought a 12 oz spray bottle of it at the local market. Probably cost me around $4 and you don't need that much anyway.

I like Un-Du because it is like Goo Gone but its clear. I used to use goo gone on record sleeves but it once discolored a sleeve, which is why I switched to Undu and have never looked back.
