Twin Peaks Season 2 - April 3 - With Log Lady intros!

From four-time Academy Award nominee David Lynch comes the imaginative and groundbreaking mystery-thriller series TWIN PEAKS The Second Season arriving on DVD April 3 from CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. Created by Lynch and Mark Frost, TWIN PEAKS tells the story of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper and his investigation of the murder of a popular local girl, Laura Palmer. With its cast of memorable characters, stunning cinematography and intriguing plot, TWIN PEAKS quickly garnered a rabid cult following and made an indelible impact on television history. The series was nominated for a total of 17 Emmy Awards over the course of its two-season run and also spawned a prequel feature film directed by Lynch called Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, which detailed the final days of the fated Laura Palmer. TWIN PEAKS stars Kyle MacLachlan, Lara Flynn Boyle, Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise and a host of eclectic and talented character actors as the strange and mysterious residents of the fictional town of Twin Peaks.

Available for $61.99, the TWIN PEAKS The Second Season six-disc set is presented in full screen with English 5.1 Stereo Surround. It includes the final 22 newly re-mastered episodes plus Log Lady introductions and insights from series directors Caleb Deschanel, Duwayne Dunham, Todd Holland, Tim Hunter, Stephen Gyllenhaal and Laura Palmer Diary author Jennifer Lynch. Also included is an interactive interview grid that gives viewers control over behind-the-scenes topics and interviews with cast participants including Kyle MacLachlan, Mädchen Amick, Sherilyn Fenn and David Duchovny. The total running time is 18 hours, 1 minute.

Man, you'd think we would have a 13 page thread discussing this by now.

To your credit, DVDTalk really needs to get in the habit of re-titling threads. Threads like "wHen is dis DVd comming out??!11" doesn't really scream "current DVD discussion" to me.

And that's what I am saying. Or at least don't knock the new threads that have something new to say.

Although, to be fair, searching for 'Twin Peaks' brings up a 13 page thread. Not hard to determine that a discussion is already ongoing.

Agreed. I recall a few years back a created a new thread about a particular movie, asking a specific question. I was quickly ridiculed, my thread was locked, and I was directed to post my question in a thread that was, literally, three years old.

While this Twin Peaks case may or may not apply, there is room for more than one thread per topic guys. It's not like the DVDTalk forum is seing super high traffic.

Don't resort to eBay just yet. There is a likelihood of a complete series box set later this year.

But at some point in those longer threads the discussion stagnates. When breaking news comes out about the set, a new thread would be preferred because if you see the old thread bump back up you may or may not pay attention to it. Old long ass Star Wars threads especially....

And I think the Log Lady intros is pretty big news. A lot of fans were disappointed, and maybe waiting to see if they would come out in the full series set later on. Making a new thread with this news can only help, IMO>
