The "I Can't Believe I Don't Have Any DVDs Starring..." Thread

Seeing the ads for The Departed with Jack Nicholson's face made me think about getting the movie, even though I haven't seen it (heard great reviews, of course). Then I started thinking....what else have I seen Jack in? I couldn't even think of many off the bat (had to go to IMDB to look it up), but have seen Anger Management, As Good As It Gets, The Pledge, Batman and Mars Attacks. That's it. And I don't own any of those (or other Nicholson movies).

Any major actors that have done a ton of movies that you surprisingly DON'T own? Obviously this is geared towards people with a bigger movie collection.

I do have Batman, but that's my only Nicholson film. I have none with Robert De Niro.

I don't have any movies starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Nor do I have any starring John Wayne, or anyone else primarily associated with Westerns...

I don't have any movies 'starring' Samuel L. Jackson. The only ones I have of his are two in which he had bit parts: Betsy's Wedding and Sea of Love.

The only ones I have starring Jack Nicholson are Batman and Mars Attacks, and I only bought the latter to complete my Tim Burton collection.

I'm sure there are some big stars I don't have on DVD. But, since you mentioned Jack, I have the following:

The Departed
Batman
Psych-Out
Tommy
Mars Attacks!
Live Aid

Over 1000 strong and no movies with Warren Beatty!! Yes, I'm very proud of this. Though I'm not so disgusted with Beatty as I used to be.

Paul Newman. I'll get one as soon as that supposed new release of Cool Hand Luke comes out.

I don't think I have any Marlon Brando either. (And none of the oldies like John Wayne, Marilyn, etc.).

I'm ashamed to admit I don't have a single Pauly Shore or Yahoo Serious movie.

The title of the thread should be "you'd be surprised that I don't have any DVD's starring..."

I'm not surprised as to what's in or not in my collection. Why? I bought it! No, I don't have anything with John Wayne in my collection. Why? I don't like him and don't want anything of his.

This isn't quite what you were asking, but seeing how I am such a typically fervent Sci-Fi / fantasy nerd when it comes to owning all the Superhero-comics and Star Wars movies, etc., I was surprised when I realized I did not own a single Star Trek movie or TV show!

What I can't believe is that those are the only movies that you have seen Nicholson in. You must be very young or don't like good movies.
