And the price is confirmed to be once again an obscene $99.99 for 12 episodes

I certainly hope that HBO doesn't even think about releasing The Complete Series until the TV Movies are finished, aired, and released.

Let them put out The Sopranos this year.

It's worth 100 bucks. It's a 12 hour movie. It can't be compared to CSI or anything.

Yeah, think of it as $100 for 6 separate movies - that's only $16 per movie, and less if you find a good deal at a store.

Once the 2 finale movies hit, I'd buy a complete series.

I'm going to bet that these never happen. I think this was just HBO's way of placcating fans. I'd be very surprised if they're able to get the cast back together - especially since they'd have to re-do contracts with everyone.

The actors have all moved on/made commitments to other movies/TV shows at this point.

I think you're probably right, but I hope they can make just one movie to wrap it up.

LOL Snowmaker!

I really hope this gets an HD release - if it does, I'm in... who am I kidding? Even if it doesn't, I'm buying this. Why did HBO fuck this series over?

I think because it was very expensive and didn't produce any (or enough) emmy awards to gather new subscribers, like Sopranos or Six Feet Under did.

I could have sworn that the 2 "TV Movies" weren't going to happen. I hope I am wrong.

I'll be getting this eventually. Though the season (or series) really ended on a whimper.

Too bad cause S1 was excellent, S2 mediocre, but S3 was really bad. I hope the movies dont suck.

I'll be checking this out. I haven't watched Season 3 yet but will look forward to it on DVD. It's interesting that it's based on true stories, which I think has truly limited the show. Whereas if it was based on a fictitious Western town they could do almost anything and keep the story on for many seasons.
