Me too!!! Bought all 4(?) of the individual releases for the wife. Was hoping for a season set collection.

How many seasons were there?

IMDB says six seasons, but if this episode listing is correct, the episodes are being grouped differently on dvd.

Wow, only about umpteen years too late. I'm still buying though, I too, had given up on thinking that this may come to DVD in season sets someday.

Add me to the list of didn't-see-this-coming. Just over the pass couple days I was looking into which episodes were on DVD and which one's I recorded to try to compile the series. Looks like I won't have to worry about it now, at least not the first season!

Six seasons is correct, but the IMDB's list is not complete. Take a look at The TVIV's information on the show for a better episode guide, which matches up with the 13 episodes listed for this DVD.

I'm happy about this. I haven't seen the Powerpuff Girls in a long time. They never air repeats, not even on Boomerang. I think Cartoon Network was trying to make us forget it existed. I'll probably buy the first few sets. The later seasons weren't very good.

Now here's hoping for season sets of Dexter's Laboratory.

Here's hoping they can, at some point, release a widescreen version of the movie.

This is indeed great news! I LOVED this show! Its early days had an "Adult Swim" feel to them before there was Adult Swim. (In fact, I first learned of the show in an ad in an alternative rock music magazine, and it aired late at night on Wednesdays back in the day....I always thought the show lost a little something when they tried to market it to little girls instead).

Looking forward to revisiting this cutting edge show on DVD.

Oh man, I had toyed with the idea of getting the Japanese set for so long, but never did. I had resigned myself to those few episode set discs we got a while ago. Looking forward to this!

Sweet. I wish they would also include some of the "bumpers" they used. I am not sure the proper name for them...but they were the little cartoon shorts they used to air in between commercial breaks where they'd have things like Space Ghost going to renew his license. I vaguely remember many of them now, but they were hilarious. I know they aren't directly PPG related, but it would be nice to have them in the set.

Great coverart. I hope they use that style with later seasons spotlighting the other girls. Although I'm not sure what they'd do after seaon three.

Oh there were quite a few PPG shorts. My favorite is when the girls save Wonder Woman and Aquaman from the Legion of Doom. I also like the one about the live action man who lives in Townsville.

yeah, I do remember those now that you mention it, and some others (Such as the one where they fell from the sky in some guy's back yard near the pool)....yeah, they really need those on the DVD set as well.

The Whoopass Girls short is nothing new since it was already on one of the DVDs, but that's awesome that it's gonna include the 2 pre-series shorts.

Wow, this set is looking great. I remember passing a tape around of that first Cartoon Cartoon show that had Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo and The Powerpuff Girls back in the day.. and I remember being pissed when Dexter and Johnny got made into series and PPG did not (at least initially).
