Smoking Aces did a lot better than I thought... I figured about 2 mil for that.

What's interesting is that none of the big Oscar movies got that much of a bump, which almost always happens. The Queen got a slight boost, but Babel and Letters from Iwo Jima didn't score in the top 11. Babel re-expanded recently and the fallout from the Globes didn't help it at all.
Of course, the two big earners in the Picture race, Little Miss Sunshine and The Departed, aren't in wide release anymore, though The Departed may be back in theaters on Friday.

Glad to see Pans doing good but who the bloody hell gone to Epic Movie to see it??
I wish more people would go see Last King of Scotland, I loved that movie.

Smokin' Aces had a $17m budget? Guess some of my complaints against the movie make more sense now.

I know Blood and Chocolate was the name of the book, but agree, the name killed it.
