So, what is everyone seeing theatrically this weekend?

I might see Pan's Labyrinth if it's playing in Philadelphia. None of the wide releases seem that interesting.

Pan's Labyrinth, and then either Curse of the Golden Flower or Arthur and the Invisibles if I get a chance.

I just went and rewatched Casino Royale. The only other movie I want to see out of that list is Children of Men, but I probably won't be able to this weekend. Already caught Pan's Labyrinth.

I just saw "Sweet Land" which is in limited release on Wednesday and enjoyed it. It's a very subtle, low-key kind of romantic drama, very well acted and good story.

Trailer here:

I CAN'T WAIT to see Pan's Labyrinth next Friday when it opens here.

I'm trying to drag a friend or more to Pan's Labyrinth. I want to see it again as many times as I can on the big screen, but my criteria is that it must be in pursuit of a higher cause: Making all of my friends see it. Every single person I've gotten to see it loved it. I might not be the best son in the world, but I'm a good friend.

(Do you guys think wearing my bitchin' Pan's Labyrinth Tshirt would be "too much"? Because I do, but it's tempting. I can't wear it at work because, unless I explain it to everyone that sees me, I will become known as "that Satanist guy". )

Don't be THAT guy, you know, the one that wears the t-shirt of the band they're going to see.

Hopefully Curse of the Golden Flower if I can make it in time for a matinee showing.

Night at the Museum, again!

I may also try to see Primeval. I really enjoy serial killer flicks (like Se7en and such) and this looks to be in the same vein. Plus, it's apparently based on a true story.

They say it's a true story, but I think it's all a croc.

I'm waiting for both The Queen and Labryinth...but neither are coming to Pittsburgh this week, so it's NFL Football and "24" for me.

Unfortunately, I live in a small town in Northeastern Ohio, so nothing of a "limited release" variety is playing anywhere closer than almost two hours away from me.

As such, I may catch Dreamgirls, but nothing else looks truly interesting.

Pan's Labyrinth opens tonight in Philly. It's at the Ritz at the Bourse:

I'll be seeing it at the NJ Ritz sometime on Sunday. Very excited for it.

I know. I know.

I was joking ...really. I just wanted to mention the bitchin' shirt, I'm so happy with it. I really want to wear it to work, but there are a lot of people with Jesus screen savers who would think the worst. There's nothing worse than temporal and theoretical physicists when they find religion.
I almost started a YANBTST (Yet Another New Bitchin' T Shirt Thread ...pics) but I'm way more passive/aggressive than that.

I saw Alpha Dog this afternoon - decent but not great like I had hoped. I'm going to check out Arthur & The Invisibles and Primeval sometime this weekend as well. I've seen just about everything else that's out.

Hey! Wearing t-shirts to support the band is a time honored tradition. You're just saying that because you're afraid to wear a Flowery shirt in support of your movie pic. Chicken!

I was going to go to Vorhees to see it tonight but I figured I could wait a week and just see it here. Notes from a Scandal is also playing around here. I thought I'd need to drive somewhere to see that one.

I ended up seeing Children of Men again.

Saw Alpha Dog last night. Pretty damn good. Planning on seeing Children of Men sometime this weekend.
