Jeremiah Johnson

I just watched Jeremiah Johnson and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any similar movies with such great natural scenery?

There was another movie that fits this genre but I can't remember the name of it.

The plot was that it was set in the late 1800s and this guy was helping some group move a big ship across a frozen wasteland somewhere in the north (Canada maybe?) For some reason the group beats this guy and leaves him for dead, but he survives possibly with the help of indians. Then he goes after the group who are still moving the ship.

Man in the Wilderness starring Richard Harris is the name of the movie.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0067388/

Spoiler:
He was attack by a bear and not his men.
