Rocky Balboa tops $60 Million.
The theater I saw it at yesterday was well over half full at a 4:00 show - probably 65-70% full!
Stallone's got a profitable movie on his hands, and the crowds keep coming! If he weren't 60 years old you can bet that another Rocky movie would have already been greenlighted -but this is the last for sure.
And there hasn't even been a foreign release yet for Rocky! The movie could easily hit a $120-150 million worldwide total (foreign + U.S.) - which would make the movie profitable BEFORE DVD, PPV, Cable, etc.

Once all is said and done, Rocky Balboa will probably end up around $80 million domestically. Which is great considering the film only cost $25 million to make and the advertising/distributing budget was around the same costs as well. The film has already started making money for every involved. Granted it didn't set the world on fire like the previous films, but it turned out to be a good money maker for Sony. I think the film might actually do better internationally than domestically considering Stallone used to be one of the biggest stars of all time, and if he can recapture that magic again, I can see the film doing $120-150 million overseas alone.

I thought the last Rocky movie tanked.
[Edit] Just checked. Only made $40 million domestically. Wouldn't really call that much of a success. Of course internationally ($120 million) is a whole other story.
