What's the difference between Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six?
Stupid question of the day, I know. I've been hearing a lot about Rainbow Six Vegas lately and in the past I heard about the Ghost Recon series. I know that both games gives you a team to work with to accomplish missions. What's the difference between these series then since they are both Tom Clancy games?

Ghost Recon is more militaristic while Rainbow Six is more like SWAT. Ghost Recon's focus is on long ranged combat in wide open areas. Some missions give you support from tanks and helicopters and such. Rainbow Six takes place more in enclosed areas and buildings.

Yea, I think they are both VERY similar but to me, that's a good thing. I loved Ghost Recon and am going to be picking up R6 this week.

Can not argue with the above. I love both of these games, especially in the co-op mode. I am not a big shooter fan, but these always take up my time.

Other than the fact that both games have you fighting terrorists, they are nothing alike.
Counter-strike was a conversion mod made from Half-Life. It is a fast paced "arcade" shooter. Rainbow Six is much more slow paced and more realistic. You will need strategy and tactics to beat Rainbow Six or you will die.
