Years and years ago, before I had the internet, I would connect to local BBSs. One BBS had a game called SysOp where you would start your own BBS (in the game) and try to get users, upgrade your hardware/security, and try to hack into other users' BBSs to shut them down. Even though it was completely a text base game, it was still fun. I know people have written the old BBS door games to work on websites (I have found L.O.R.D. on a ton of sites) and I was wondering if anyone has come across a web-based SysOp game. I would love to play it again.

Holy crap, I remember that game! That was fun.... or the other BBS game where you had to sell and buy food to gain money to buy cruisers to attack alliances...

those were the days.

There was one door game I really loved.. you built kingdoms and had wars and stuff but still could go solo adventuring like in LORD. The name escapes me but it began with an "Ex" I'm pretty sure.

How about BandWarz? You created a band and practiced, toured and stuff a band would do.
