Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Could I get a gameplay HINT...)

OK- I just want a HINT....

NOT the answer-

After sacrificing either Jean Grey or Nightcrawler you have to fight Mephisto.

Has anyone beaten him? I'd like just a HINT in the right direction. I have tried moving destroying the nighcrawler statues, standing in the pentagram thing, making him stand in the pentagram thing, but nothing!

Just a hint in the right direction would be great. Thanks guys!

I have.

You're on the right track....You have to force him to do something to make that part easier...when he does it...ignore him and focus on them...after that it will all make sense.

You've already posted part of the answer in your question. I won't say which, but you are on the right track.

Do the flashing lines and the bright red circle have anything to do with this??!?

Spoiler:
If I remember correctly, you are supposed to destroy the statue that has a red circle underneath/toward it. At least, that is what I did, and it worked fine.

Since we're asking tips...

Anyone notice how difficult the Comic Missions are? Jesus H Christ!!!

How the hell do you beat Winter Soldier in Cap's Mission? Isn't Dr Strange's mission a serious joke with his lame powers?

It seems to me the melee approach in the single hero missions takes a lot of time and that sucks with only 20 minutes to win the mission.

To beat Captain America's I needed to power him up slightly, give him shield powers, repeatedly use his boost and just wail away on him. Times bonus takes a hit, but it's still quite easy to get a gold.

Iceman on the other hand... why does it have to take place with so much lava!?!?

With a maxed out... I forgot the name of the move, its the one where you rapidly press a button, and you're surrounded by a flame that drains enemy health and gives it to you, I think its Falteen Flame... I had little trouble with Doctor Strange's comic mission. I had a tough time with Wolverine's, not because I couldn't survive, but because I couldn't defeat the bad guy before those canisters were destroyed. I still don't know how I'm going to beat Spider-man's mission, because Dun Dun Dugan seems impossible to protect.
