BONES: Season One $19.99 @ CC (YMMV)

Went to CC today to buy BONES: S1 for $34.99 (then get the free $5 GC).

Took it up to the register and it rang up for $19.99. Didn't tell the cashier any different so I saved $15.

Hope this helps anyone who were either going to buy it today or if you were on the fence about this series, pick it up for this great price. Good luck all

I was able to get it for the same price at my Circuit City also, along with many others it appears, as only 2 copies were left when I arrived. The tag on the display even advertised the sale price as $19.99 and was good through 12/5, which really shocked me when I saw it. I have a friend who would probably like a copy and almost grabbed both, but I didn't want to push my luck. I was expecting it to ring up for the advertised sale price and thought I'd have to point out the shelf showing a lower price. The system had it for that price and I even got the $5 GC since it popped up a notice for that, so in the end I got it for $14.99 plus tax. Good luck to anyone else trying for a copy.

I'm sure it will be gone before I get there, just like The Office S2 when they had that misprice...

I was able to get it at $19.99 w/ $5 gift card as well at the Bellevue, WA location. Seems like the same type of price mistake as they had when Office: Season 2 came out.

Grrrrrr.... I just KNOW the employees at my local CC hid all the copies for themselves... they hemmed and hawed when I asked about it because I couldn't find it (or even an empty space for it) on the shelf. "Gee, looks like we already sold out. I wasn't the one who put them out on the shelf, but I don't even remember seeing them. Hey Bob, you stocked the shelves this morning, didn't you? Where's Bones Season One?" Bob: "Oh, gee... I thought it was right over here... hmm... let me take a look around..."

Just scored mine at CC in Yonkers, NY.

Apparently it is very easy for CC employees to steal from their own store.

I asked if they had any copies left.

The employee looked it up and said no. He showd me the screen where it says there are none left. Then he "found" one more copy.

Funny thing about the $5GC too. The DVD rings up $14.99 but forces the cashier to "buy" a $5 GC which makes the total $19.99 plus tax.

Got one at my CC in Brooklyn, NY. Sign clearly said $19.99, but there were none on the shelf. I asked the cashier for 1 and she had a whole box of them behind the register. It rang up for $19.99...didn't get any type of a gift card, though.

Man, that is a great deal, I might try tomorrow. I saw the pilot episode and didn't care for it. My Dad says he likes the show though.

Same thing here. Took it out and realized there were 2 Disc 1 & 2. I hope my CC has an extra copy for me to do an exchange.

So its actually missing other discs? I wonder if that's the case for many (all) of these sets.

Just got it in Chicago - all the three sets have the Season 1 Discs 1 & 2 doubled! Another technical blunder but at least it was $19.99 with $5 gift card!

I just got one from the Trumbull, CT location. It rang up for $19.99(the tag on the shelf was also marked $19.99), but the cashier didn't give me the $5 Gift Card. I told him that it was supposed to come with a $5 Gift Card. He checked out the sales flyer and saw that I was right and I was good to go. There were about 7 more copies available at this store. Thanks OP for the heads-up!

What the hell? i got a number of dvd sets that are not open or brought long times ago... even opened, i don't really inspect that closely. Defective dics are one thing, now missing/duplicate discs? Not cool...

I agree. I don't want to be forced to open every new DVD purchase just to verify if they are all there. That shouldn't even be necessary!

I went back to exchange my set since I had the duplicates and I was the 2nd person today to do an exchange. Unfortunately, they had one copy left, but it also had 2 discs 1 & 2. I figure I'd do them a favor and gave it to the customer service and save the hassle of another return. I wonder how many sets with duplicates there are out there.
