Are HD DVD computer drives available yet?

I have been searching but only finding articles about prototypes that have been made. Has anyone heard anything about them and their price range?

The 360 HD-DVD drive can apparently be used as an external drive.

That wouldn't surprise me considering it connects by USB cable, and I guess $200 would make sense for the price. I'd like to find out if this is true.

Do you know if you can take the 360 Hd-DVD drive apart and stick it in your computer?

Nevermind I found my answer here: http://digg.com/mods/Hacking_the_XBO...DVD_for_the_PC
At the present time Windows XP and Vista will not load the drivers but it does see the drive.

And that's bundled only, right? I didn't look real hard, but it didn't appear to be available alone.
