are Gamecubes scarce?

Just felt like doing some fun gaming and i dont have a console so with all the Wii hype i thought id go back in time and grab a Gamecube and a buncha games since they are cheap(always wanted to play Resident Evil 4) but i can find games but no systems.Whats the deal?

Try Target, in my hunt for a Wii, I've seen a bunch of gamecubes.

We dont have Target here in Ontario.I went to Best Buy,Future Shop,Zellers and Walmart and didnt find one,myabe just a fluke that they were all out or maybe due to Christmas although i cant imagine Gamecubes are on any Christmas lists this year

Yeah, EB usually has stacks of them.

Yep...Gamecubes are all over the place.

But I'd just wait and pick up a Wii, since they play the discs as well.

That's what I plan to do, Wii and GC games, but I would have to spend more for the GC controllers or does the Wiimote work with the GC games?

It's my understanding that you need the Wii classic controller or a GC controller to play the virtual console games and the GC games.
