Need Help Xbox 360 + 1080P

Okay, here is my confusion. I am buying the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player today and I am about to buy a new tv...this one...Samsung

I am stuck because in order to get 1080P with the Xbox 360 you have to have a VGA connection, I have never used one myself and am now wondering if this is going to have it on this tv. Amazon said there is a PC input and I want to make sure that it is for sure going to have a VGA input or I will just buy another HD player. I read one review that said it had a VGA style input? Not sure what that is.

Oh, one more question, did we ever find out if it was in fact able to upscale?

Thanks for the help.

Matt

I believe you should be fine with that....RGB PC = VGA if I recall correctly...someone else will have concrete info. Although, I think some TV's don't allow 1080p over VGA....I could be wrong though.

ALSO, where are you getting the HD-DVD player TODAY?

It will have either a standard DB-15 monitor connection, or a 5-wire connection requiring either RCA or BNC connectors. Either way it should work just fine. There are adapter cables readily available if it uses the 5-wire connection.

Interesting spec: it claims to accept 1080p over component. That could make it popular with certain people.

But Component can only go to 1080i if I am not mistaken...there are some great forums on the xbox website about the hd drive...
