AMEX 10% off DDD order through Halloween...

Though a lot of folks out there are waiting for the 20% off DDD coupon that's likely to come in November some time, if you have an AMEX card to shop with, it might be worth your while to place an order before you go to your Halloween party on Halloween night this week. The advantage is that you'll be able to order preorder and not in stock items with this 10% off coupon, which you likely won't be able to get with the 20% off coupon. So it might be worth going to the "Upcoming release" page, and find all the stuff you want that's coming in December or later to take advantage of the 10% off here.

The code details are shown here ( "DVD" ):

http://www.americanexpressofferzone....st&listid=1977

Make sure to enter it in logged out, as you always do entering codes in at DDD. Discounted total appears at the bottom. On the CC entry page it does note that this discount only applies if you use your AMEX card for it.

Thanks for posting this.

If I can recall - In past years, the 20% off sale has been in the middle of November.

So based on that, I used my AmEx to pre-order 2 things that come out on 11/28 -

Superman - Ultimate Collector's Edition - came out to $64.63
Evening with Kevin Smith 2 - came out to $19.55

I couldn't find Clerks 2 anywhere on the site.

Why do you have to do this?

In the past 20% DDD sales you have been able to order out of stock/backordered items with the coupon, just no preorders.

I ordered some of the new Disney Treasures for $21.56 each.
Forbidden Hollywood (Baby Face, Redheaded Woman, Waterloo Bridge) for
$24.82. and Saturday Night Live Complete 1st Season for $43.55.

If a better deal comes before release day I can always cancel.

I wonder if they would price match before the discount as Saturday Night Live 1st season, the Frank Capra , and the Preston Sturges box sets are all currently cheaper at Amazon than DDD before the 10% discount. After the discount DDD is cheaper.
