Does anyone's HD-DVD collection break this top ten?
AVS has a thread going comparing the collections of HD-DVD supporters by combining the number of owned and pre=ordered titles. I was close with a 63 total but no cigar. Anybody here break into the top ten?

58 for me, and it was less than two months ago that I said I would not get into HD-DVD until the format war was decided. So much for willpower/rational thought.

It's about quality, not quantity. I'm not going to simply buy a movie to "support the format" because for me there's no reason to have absolute stinkers like 2 Fast 2 Furious and Doom etc. even if the picture and sound is stellar.

31 for me, nowhere close to the top 10.
Oh and I am glad to have both Doom and 2 Fast 2 Furious in my collection.

Wow, those guys own a lot of really shitty movies.
I am up to 25 with preorders with 3-4 more I plan on ordering. I really had to buy a few clunkers to get my count this high. No way I would buy anymore crap than I already have to support the format. They want more of my support they need to ease off all the recent garbage and release more classic films. Warner is already doing a lot of this though so big thumbs up to them. Without Warner Bros I would not be a supporter of HD discs.

I can just feel that this thread is going to get nasty pretty soon. Bottom line is just let people buy what they want to buy. They are not spending your money so why do you care? If you don't like a certain movie and someone else does, fine. No one is forcing you to like it. This thread was not started to debate what makes a "good collection", so let's try to keep it on track with what the OP wanted to know.

Yeah, I definitely intended for this to be a friendly thread. To each his own as they say. I'm just curious how large of a collection others have built at this point. I'm having a blast building up mine and enjoy a wide variety of films. They don't all have to be classics for me to have a good time. I sent in a bunch of SD discs that we never watch for store credit to offset part of the expense of getting to my goal of only wanting upcoming titles. I'm about at that point now and have a decent size collection to watch while waiting for new releases.
