HD-A1 audio hook up question
I have the HD-A1 hooked up via HDMI to an Anthem AVM50. On the player I have the Digital Out HDMI option set to PCM.
I have tried on a couple discs (Troy & Batman) to select Dolby TrueHD, but when I do, it get the error message - We have detected that your player does not support Multi-Channel Dolby TrueHD audio.
I would rather not use the analog outs because I only have one set on the Anthem, and they are currently being used by another player.
Is there a step I am overlooking? Is there something wrong with my player?

Go to the set-up menu, then "maintenance", then "update" and it'll read something like 2.0/1.0A/2.0S. The first number before the slash is the firmware number. If you have anything but 2.0, the player won't decode True HD.

You're are going to have to play around a lot with your player and receiver audio settings to get the player to output the analog correctly. It's a pain in the ass but worth it in the long run. Read the various audio threads in this forum for more information. Good luck.
