Studio Canal titles available for pre-order

http://www.amazon.fr/s/ref=sr_pg_2/1...d%20dvd&page=2

First wave of Studio Canal titles are available for pre-order from Amazon.fr

Anyone know if they'll have forced subtitles?

Supposedly any location where English isn't the primary language will have burned in subtitles.

Who knows...

This is also $36 per movie...not including shipping.

Considering Lions Gate is about to switch, my two interests (Basic Instinct and Total Recall) don't matter anymore.

Yeah yeah yeah...

Wait a second. What Amir says leaves wiggle room for me.

I'm still going to ask him. Regardless, like i said, I'm not interested in any of the titles.

Well, what he says doesn't make complete sense.

For movies distributed only outside of the UK, then subtitles will be forced and you won't be able to turn them off.
None of these movies are "only" distributed outside the UK. They're going to be distributed in many areas in Europe. So why would they have forced subtitles?

I dunno. He also said that he only sees 1 movie that's not distributed in the UK. It's just a bit confusing.

Yes please ask him. Even though they are Lionsgate titles I'd still be interested in finding out.

I think the only title that's not from Lionsgate is the Fog correct? I believe that's a MGM title.

And just an FYI, I don't believe any of these titles will include extras if that matters to you.

for the record I'd love to see a HiDef presentation of Renaissance - because the theatrical presentation I saw was severly flawed with alot of edge enhancement along the slivers of white outlining.

I asked Amir. No subtitles on movies that are going to be released in the UK. Everything will be fine for the American movies.

Aren't we a little snippy? Tired from last night's meeting? I heard the air in Scarsdale can do that to you. Thanks for the answer. I guess we'll just have to wait for UK pre-orders then.

Why would you have to wait for UK pre-orders? You could order these and they shouldn't have subtitles. Regardless, I would wait anyway because they're all LG titles for the most part.

And, yeah, i've only gotten 4-5 hours of sleep each night this week. The trek to Scarsdale was totally fine. Only about a 30 minute train ride. And there was one damn cute gay guy in the meeting (I thought I was the only one ). But that's about all the excitement I've gotten this week.

I thought Brotherhood of the wolf was suppose to be one of those titles? I may be overlooking it.
