HDMI port question
I have a question about the HDMI port. I have a westing house 42 inch
http://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-...8&s=electronics
and it has 1 HDMI input. How would the sound work? If the hdmi carries the sound too and the tv has no Optical sound output how would one get the sound to the receiver? Hopefully some of you have this tv and can tell me how this would work.

Does your receiver have an HDMI port? If so, you run the HDMI cable from your A1 to the receiver, and then an HDMI cable from your receiver to your TV. The receiver takes the sound and passes the picture on.
Even better, if you have analog inputs on your receiver, you can plug the A1 into those.
Edit: Oh, wait, are you asking how would you get sound from your television programs to the receiver using HDMI?

You would connect the HDMI to you TV for the video and then run a separate connection from your player to your receiver for the audio (coaxial, optical, analog, etc).

I have that TV too. Like Mallet and Chente said just run a eperate cable. I'm sure the whatever source you connect should have toslink as well as HDMi output.
