Upgrade your DirecTV HD-DVR for $50.00

Ok this is the deal I just got off the phone with at DirecTV. Now this did take 1 hour 15 minutes but I managed to pull it off. I currently have 2 HD-DVDs (HR10-250) not MPEG4 compatable and I wanted to know what I could be the new HR20-250 for from DirecTV. They have a promo going on right now where they will upgrade your current HR10-250 for $100.00 + Tax. I managed to get both of mine upgraded for $198.00 + $100.00 service credits. So it only cost $50.00 for each! I know this is not free but for $50.00 you can't beat it.

Quite a few posts on this already in various forums. This all depends on your level of service with them and how long you've been a customer. But, getting to keep your HR10-250 is a deal that everyone is getting.

I just got my HR20s installed yesterday. I called on sunday and for $99 +tax got 2 Hr-20s (one is to replace my R10 in my bedroom even though there is no HDtv there) and a $106 credit to my account. so it comes out to free and i kept my Hr10-250 and R10. I also got the new dish, which is huge.
now i need a cheap HDtv for the bedroom to replace the crappy 19inch tube
