It isn't every day that you can find a mini Zasu Pitts Festival!

If you're a fan of Christmas movies, "Star in the Night" (1945) is not to be missed. It airs at 7pm. If you miss out, it is now available on DVD (as a bonus feature).

Why wasn't this bumped earlier?

I noticed it this afternoon. I typically check out the listings on TCM for as far as it'll take me (only about 12 hours on this great digital cable) and didn't realize the festival went until six in the morning until I realized the next thing on was Each Dawn I Die at 6 a.m.

For those who watched these, what's the consensus? I have a bunch of them DVRd and have only watched 'A Star in the Night' (Don Siegel) thus far.

I watched the two Kubrick shorts last night: Day of the Fight & The Flying Padre. Though short (both clocked in at right around 15 minutes each), definitely worthy of checking out for Kubrick fans.

Did you record "La Jetee"? I enjoyed that one (despite TCM showing the English version as opposed to the French-language version (which is preferred from what I've read)). Apparently it was the basis for Terry Gilliam's "Twelve Monkeys".
