Rio CE 2110 2.5 Gb MP3 Player $29.99 AR @ Strawberries, FYE, others?

This player has had a rebate before but now it's a $70 rebate. The on sale price of it is $99.99 so it comes out to $29.99 after rebate. Not bad for a nice lookin' little player with iPod-ish qualities such as a mirror finish on the back side. It claims to support "subscription based music download services" and to see http://www.rioaudio.comfor details. You do have to cut the blister package for the barcode to submit the rebate. Probably limited to stores that still have stock on hand. I got one, it'll make a nice gift.

Does FYE even carry this model? No mention of it on their site. I didn't see one in store either.

We have a couple left at my coconuts store, basically it's a sell-off at this point. We have been trying to move these since last November, and it's been a hard sale with Apple in the forefront. Best I can tell the company just wants to unload them, and I know the only stock is left in stores at this point.

Thanks to the OP. Picked up the last two players at an FYE in Tampa. I believe Rio is discontinuing all their mp3 players lines so its a great chance to snag one up for cheap. I have the 1st gen 20GB Iriver but thats bulky as h*ll. So this is a nice addition. And you really cant beat the price at $30.

If your local FYE is OUT OF STOCK, have them hunt one down for you. There should be plenty more out there. Your best best is to call the store.

Heres a review at CNET: http://reviews.cnet.com/Rio_ce2100_2...?autoplay=true

The only difference between the 2100 and the 2110 is the color....I think....

Rio is done. Kaput. They were bought out by another company.

I'm dreading the day when my Rio Karma dies.

I broke down and bought one of these today at your store, for no particular reason. Too good to pass up, I guess.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Gunshy. Picked up a black one at FYE in Portland OR. 2 green ones left.

Original price 150, marked down to 120, rang up as 100 with $70 MIR.

Bump from the dead.

Anybody else having problems getting the rebate on this? They denied getting my first rebate and I resubmitted, which they also denied receiving. I just threatened them with small claims court. Hooray.

Yea, I gave up on FYE or any of it's cousins. These rebate departments are actually seperate rebate companies that get PAID to deny as many rebates as possible. The more they deny, the more they make. What do you think they're going to do?

I'm waiting for the Gov' to intercede but I;m not holding my breath. I just gave up on most rebates as a whole.
