DVD Talk review of 'The Kids in the Hall: The Best of the Kids in the Hall, Vol. 1'

I read Paul Mavis's DVD review of The Kids in the Hall: The Best of the Kids in the Hall, Vol. 1 at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23665 and...

"Laugh track?" They taped the show in front of an audience. Like Python did on rare occasion, sometimes they broke the fourth wall and did stuff involving the audience.
Unless you're implying the audience laughter was augmented (or if you doubt they played the filmed sketches for the studio audience), then that's a different story.

What is the disc made up of? Is it full episodes taken from the other box sets, or just a compilation of sketches? And, in either case, which ones?

It's my understanding that this is just the same 4 "best-of's" from the Season 1 and Season 2 DVD boxsets, with the same commentary tracks. So, if you already own the Season sets, this disc is unnecessary.

Thanks

I'm sorry if I didn't make it more clear in the review. Yes, I was speaking of the filmed clips, and I do think the laugh track was added and augmented -- as almost all shows that have a laugh track do. If you listen, it's quite obvious. That doesn't mean the skits aren't funny -- as I said in the review, I don't have a problem with laugh tracks per se, I just don't like it when they're done so obviously.

Thanks for the heads up -- I'll try to be more specific the next time.

Updated review

I've also included the skits listed for the DVD -- thanks again for letting me know they weren't in the review!
