The movie isn't terrible-it does point out some interesteing facts that people wouldn't know normally. However, I felt the latter half of the movie justified some things the president did that I don't agree with. But for the price, it's definitely worth checking out.

Not a perfect refutation (there are plenty of sites that literally do a minute-by-minute guide) but a damn good DVD. I'd recommend it for this price, ask your supposedly "open-minded" liberal friends if they're even willing to view it.

This is a piece of crap propganda piece that Overstock was hawking during the 2004 election period. It's just trash and there's a reason they've got thousands left over to give away.

During the $15 off any order mistake that Overstock had going on, someone mentioned that they added a $0.15 box of paper clips to get the shipping to be $1.00.
They've since raised the price of the same item to $0.21. So now you would only save $0.19 instead of $0.25. However, each time I try to add the paperclips to my cart, it disappears when I view my cart or check out. I've tried changing my cookies settings, I've tried ordering only non-media items, I've tried ordering multiple boxes of paper clips.
Would someone out there mind giving it a try and report back so I know if its my system or if its Overstock's funky system?
thanks!

We know that when a rich minority in a Democracy have all the wealth, the poor majority will, eventually, vote to take it away. We also know that the rich will do what is neccessary to keep their wealth from the poor: they will try and limit the Democracy.
With these two equally-selfish forces at odds, it's imperative to always think in terms of a "Common Good," which will serve the interests of both rich and poor, in order to preserve a strong Democracy.
Michael Moore is a red herring.

Watched this right before the 2004 elections (maybe in October). I recall the film saying something along the lines of Michael Moore, John Kerry, and moveon.org being in ties with Al Qaeda and Bin Laden.

Employee compensation and corporate profits as share of the G.D.P.
For years, economists have defined the economic health of a country by its Gross Domestic Product. Trouble is, every time a forest falls, the GDP goes up. With every oil spill, the GDP goes up. Every time a cancer patient is diagnosed, the GDP goes up. Is this how we should measure economic progress?

I find it difficult to trust any documentary makers as their sole aim is to promote their point of view and they don't have to lie to distort things, and my understanding has been that both do so.
I think it's silly to hate someone for their films unless they espouse literal hatred though.
But what do I know?
