Best price on Footjoy golf shoes and help choosing the right one!

I am looking into buying a new pair of Footjoy golf shoes, but I am not sure what kind to get. They make several different kinds. I usually walk the course. I don't want to spend a whole bunch on them either.

Please don't take this as a threadcrap, but honestly, Footjoys are POS. I too thought that I had to get Footjoys since everyone uses them, but after going through two pairs (and I am VERY casual player), I decided to spend the extra and get a real pair of shoes. My buddy swears by his Nikes (had the same pair for years) and I prefer my Walter Hagens. If I were you, I'd go to Dick's (they ALWAYS have golf shoes on sale) and check out some of the other brands.

I personally use the Adidas Torsion Tour, but as far as FJ goes, these are very comfy-

$120 for golf shoes is silly, unless you are a scratch golfer who never leaves the fairway.

I beg to differ. If you play a lot of golf and walk the course, then $120 isn't that bad. That's why you probably are down on FJ's. You must have bought one of their cheaper offerings like the GreenJoys. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. With that said, there are plenty of great deals to be had if you shop around. I got my Adidas shoes, which carries a list price of $170, for just $50 at DSW(they were on clearance).

To tell you the truth, I just want a pair of confortable golf shoes. I have a pair of nikes now and they are fine, but old. I really want a pair of brown shoes. The nikes are white and black. Then make my feet look huge. I understand that sounds stupid, but what can I say.

I had paid around $80 for mine, but I've got plenty of friend golfers who feel the same way I do about Footjoys.

I wish my DSW sold golf shoes. Shoot, I couldn't find a pair of flip flops there for a decent price.

Check out the Hagans at Dick's. I think that you'll like them.

I play alot of golf and sometimes spend all day in my cleats. I have owned more then my share of shoes but I find that Footjoys are the best. I would think that you would be looking to spend at least $75. The important part is finding a pair that fits really well.

I play once a week and have tried many brands of shoes and always go back to Footjoy. I love Nike BB shoes but the Nike golf shoes don't fit me well. It's all about the fit and if you're going to play alot don't go cheap!

I have both Nike's and Footjoy's and love my FJ's. Got them on clearance for less than $70 and I love them. The Nike's are OK too.

I love Nike anything, and there are several styles in the golf I really like, but they run extremely narrow. I had a pair and they were just too narrow. I have adidas clima-cool sling backs right now and I plan on getting another pair of adidas for cloder/wetter days. I tried Oakleys, Footjoys and Nike, but adidas just fit my foot better.

Also keep an eye out at TGW. I got my adidas and Nikes there on sale and saved about half on both.

Those are nice shoes, but I don't need to have USA written on the side of my shoes.
