New Member - First Post - Please Help - looking for the best price on Mozartkuglen

Hi everyone:

Well, I finally decided to get into the action here. I hope it's ok that I ask for some help with my first post.

Having viewed a number of posts over the past weeks it is clear that there is a large pool of members who can just about find anything. Maybe someone can help me?

I am looking for the best price on Mozartkuglen (candy) shipped to the US. My girlfriend just loves chocolate and she has never tasted this wonderful stuff. I'd like to surprise her with it. BTW: I did find some sites selling it, but they were VERY expensive. Can anyone find a really good price for this treat.

Thanks in advance!

FYI: Here is an example (although a bit too expensive with shipping)

The secret is to find somebody living around there and pay them quadruple the price... *AHEM*

Well, everything that I said except maybe quadruple. There are people living abroad who post here, including myself. I know I can find some around Prague, but I don't have a good way for you to pay me since I don't use any internet pay service and I only have one money account at the Indiana University Credit Union. IUCU + living in Prague =

Oh, and as future reference, you should make the subject of a thread you're starting accurate - this thread is really about Mozartkugeln chocolate, not about you being a new member! So the title should be something like "Mozartkugeln chocolate: Can I find some in the US? Or is there a cheap way to get some shipped?" Or something similar.

Welcome to the forum, though!

Apparently, they sell the stuff in Epcot Center at Disneyworld. So there's one option.

What city do you live in? You can probably find some kind of international food market or deli that could place a special order.

Hmm. I might try Edelweiss German Deli at (602) 482-8608 -- if they don't carry it, or if they can't order it, they might give you the name of someone nearby who does.

Thanks! I will look into Edelweiss German Deli for other German foods if nothing else. I ordered some from germandeli.com in Texas (before reading your post).

CostPlus

I too love these German chocolates, and often can find them (along with many other Swiss and English confectionaries) at Cost Plus World Market. It's a chain furniture/import store. Since you said you live in Phoenix, here are the stores in the area:

Phoenix (Camelback)
1750 East Camelback

Phoenix (Happy Valley)
2501 West Happy Valley Rd

Prices are usually reasonable, and I would expect are FAR better than what you would have to pay to have them shipped from elsewhere. I know I have both Mozartkugeln from them before. Can't say for sure if they have the same stock in each store, but it's where I would start.
