Any new news on these Eastwood titles being remasterd?

I'm talking about Hang 'em High and High Plains Drifter, they need to be remasterd badly. Any information on these DVD's? Also while i'm at it, what's up with a US release of Fistfull of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More? We should get that sometime soon shouldn't we ?

Definitely would like a High Plains Drifter: SE! My favorite Eastwood movie.

Aren't the two Dollars movies in Fox's hands now that MGM split with Sony?

I'm not positive but didn't Universal issue High Plains Drifter, The War Wagon and Ulzana's Raid in R2 with new 16x9 transfers?

That maybe so, but i'm looking for US releases that usually are R1.

It seems like for a genre as American as the western, most R1 western DVDs are sorely lacking. I find it ironic that in order to get anamorphic copies of Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, and Fistful of Dynamite I had to pick up the R2 MGM special editions, and for 16x9 enhanced copies of Hang 'Em High and High Plains Drifter I had to go R4.

Unfortunately, Sony/MGM and Universal, to a lesser extent, really missed the boat on these titles in standard definition. I will be holding out for high definition for my next purchase of each.
