Love the band, but don't have one album
Is there a band you really really love but you've just never gotten around to getting one of their albums?
I have a lot of Nirvana's stuff... Euro imports, CD singles, demo sessions, bootlegs from Vienna in 1989...
But I still don't own Bleach. Don't ask me why.
My friend is a huge huge Radiohead fan, going as far as considering getting a tattoo of Radiohead's mascot crying bull/cow-thing. But... he doesn't own Pablo Honey.

That's a really good question, but off the top of my head, I think I can honsetly say - no.
Pretty much, if I really like a band (or artist) I will try and get just about everything they've put out. Sometimes, some of it ends up being rubbish, in which case I'll usuually just sell/trade it in for something else.
If I do think of one, I'll repost, though.

I love Bjork, but I still don't own Gling-Glo (1990) or Telegram (1997). The first is her lesser-known Icelandic debut and the second is essentially a remix album, but both are official studio releases.

I have all albums but
Sleater Kinney - Sleater Kinney (their 1st album)
Beck - Stereopathetic Soul Manure
Bjork - Drawing Restraint 9
Ani Difranco - Ani Difranco & Not So Soft (instead I've got "Like I Said" which has some songs from both these albums)
There's a bunch more that I've got 10 or more CDs by but don't have them all yet. For example:
Sonic Youth - I don't have their first 3 or 4 albums or NYC Ghost and Flowers- I've got even more missing if you include their SYR EPs.
Bob Dylan - currently my second most collected artist but I'm missing Saved, Shot of Love, World Gone Wrong and a few more albums.
Brian Eno - I've got 15 albums of his, and have no clue how many more are out there.

Yeah, I never got around to picking up Bleach either. I like U2 a lot, but don't have anything pre Joshua Tree, need to pick up those some time as well.
Other than that, I can't think of any others.

I don't understand the question 'Love the band but do not have one album'.
Lordwow states Aja. Do you own other albums? (and there others as well that posted).
I guess I am missing the question ... I have ZERO music by Highwayman but really liked what I have heard many times at a freinds house. Not sure why I never picked up their albums.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Mother's Milk. I have everything since then up to this last one, I had this but it was stolen and never replaced.
Deftones - B Sides. Have not bought it yet.
The Cure - Rarities Box Set and all of the new re-issues. Have not bought it yet, have all the original CDs, just hate spending money on double dipping.

. I was also going to add The Faces but I already am going to by the Rhino set very soon. One band I always know when I hear them and like everything about them.

Going by "I'm missing this one album by a band I love..."
I've never gotten around to getting Pet Shop Boys' "Bilingual" - I either upgraded or finally got around to purchasing all of the others when the "Further Listening" series came out...except for that one for some reason. I dunno - I don't really care for the singles [except 'Before', which I love], and there's always something else to get when I think of it. I would quite like the extended 'Somewhere' from the bonus disc, and it does drive me nuts that I don't have it yet. One of these days....
I'm also missing "For You" by Prince. [This is stopping at "The Hits", of course - after that, I could care less about what I'm missing, though I do have an album here and there.] I'm waiting to find it used as I've found most of the others on disc, but have yet been unsuccessful.

I'm obsessed with the too-quickly-forgotten band Jesus Jones, but have yet to pick up their latest album (LONDON) and EP (CULTURE VULTURE).
