Beatles songs in Movies
Can I get a list of all movies (not Documentaries or Music Movies) that feature songs by the Beatles (RECORDED by the Beatles, but can be Beatles doing covers....)
Superman III - Roll Over Beethoven
Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Twist and Shout

This made me think of a new credit card commercial I saw in the last day or two that featured a John Lennon soundalike singing "All You Need Is Love". Made me sad to see it used in such a way and how John would probably go nuts if he was alive.
The first one that popped into my mind was "Because" which was used at the end credit roll of American Beauty. It wasn't the original version but was a decent cover.

^ well, Eddie Vedder's - 'You've got to hide your love away' is nothing short of brilliant and even more touching during the scene in which it is used in the film.

The Royal Tennenbaums had two Beatles songs in the rough cut, but they were both replaced with cover versions for the actual movie, unfortunately.

If we start naming movies that used cover versions, there's gonna be A LOT of examples - but the list of movies that used actual Beatles recordings is very short - as is a list of movies that have used Led Zeppelin recordings... actually, besides School of Rock and Almost Famous (and Song Remains the Same, of course), I can't think of any movies that used Zepplin songs.

I'm pretty sure the "All You Need is Love" version that's in that commercial is because of Michael Jackson. He owns the rights to most of the Beatles songs (he outbid McCartney years ago!). He allowed the Beatles version of "Revolution" to be used in a commercial not long after obtaining the rights, and the Beatles went ballistic. So, as I understand it, a deal was worked out whereby Jackson can use the Beatles songs, but not the Beatles versions. (Editorial: Michael Jackson's an asshole!)
