If you need a region free player and are on a budget, I'd recommend it, just don't buy one to use as your main dvd player. I've had one in my bedroom for over a year now and use it nightly, the playback can get quite jerky on certain discs but I haven't had any problems with it other than that.

I have an old 402 that is my main player.. no problems after 5 years. It's just too bad there's no Menard's near my part of the country. I'd pick up a couple.
