Deals on Big Island "Tourist Activities"?

Howdy
Headed over to Hawaii (Big Island). What's the best way to save on helicopter tours and the like?
Thanks!

The last time I was there the hotels had magazines with some slight deals. You need to find out exactly what the helicopter tour covers, where it starts and ends, and how long it is to compare costs between different companies.

I don't know if locals use much of the touristy stuff so there may not be any better deals in local rags.

Here's 10% off the submarine...

Maybe going to the websites of the tour operators is the way to go.

Here's a forum that has links to many tourist activities...

Living on the Big Island and working in the tourist industry I see the biggest discounts (50% off) coming from the timeshare companies. Giving them an hour to two hours of your time can lead to some major discounts. The large timeshares here are Shell Vacations, Fairfield Resorts and Hilton Grand Vacation Club.

Enjoy your stay and have fun!

What we did was make sure we did the Helicopter tour that left from Hilo. It is half the price, since it doesn't have to travel as far to get to the sights.

The Big Island has some of the most breathtaking nature on this planet. Make sure you go to the Volcanoes National Park and hike out on the lava, you will feel like you are on the moon. Have fun!
