I did just see a month code out there for Netflix. However, if you sign up through a rebate site, you will get roughly $19 back and a two week trial. If you then pay for a month, you end up with a month+2 weeks and a buck to spare.

It looks good in theory, but I have not tried it....

I received an invitation to join from a friend who was a member. The deal was supposed to be 30 days free but after signing up I noticed it only showed up as a two week free trial. After corresponding with a Netflix rep and explaining my situation she extended the free trial another two weeks.

I don't want to highjack your thread here but I'm a new Netflix customer (in my second month) and I'm wondering about their rates. I have a friend that is on the 3 at a time plan and she pays $9.99 a month. I'm on the 1 at a time plan and I pay that. She said cancel and they will offer you a better rate to return as a customer. Can anyone testify to that?

It's been around for at least a week and I don't know of any limit of number of people. But that doesn't mean there isn't.

You can cancel after the free month but you better do it before the free month is over.

What ever happened to that Netflix lawsuit that gave a free month or something? Did that already happen or still in the works?

They'll give you 3 months at half price.

I don't know if it is a first time you try to cancel offer or possibly just random or based on length. I'd say do it. Worse case you have to re-up at the same rate. Just make sure you attempt to cancel at the end of your month. They don't pro-rate a refund.

Does that friends/family work if you were once a member previously?

Doesn't work any longer. Are there any new codes?
I am thinking of signing up for a trial.

I just typed in 80004745 and it worked for a free month. Don't know if it will work again.
Good luck, though.
