Thought I'd give a heads up on this. Loved Hopes and Fears as well as most of their B-Sides which rival some album tracks. Saw this in Entertainment Weekly. Only about 5 weeks away.

Loved the first album and this cover is really cool. Can't wait.

A lot of new bands recently that I've really liked their debut albums (meaning nearly every track) has usually followed up with a second album I don't care for.

Here's hoping that changes.

can we expect a 5.1 version of the album in Dual Disc or SACD form (as the first album was/is).

The "sophmore slump" is certainly not a new thing. Usually the second record is the one where you get to see if a band has staying power...or whether they can put together compelling stuff when they aren't "hungry".

Anyway, I'll be checking this one out...definitely.

I would love to see an SACD release, but I'm almost certain that would be very wishful thinking with the format's very tenuous status. Too bad really. There is a HUGE difference in sound quality between the traditional CD and the SACD release of Hopes and Fears. I mean HUGE.

and the added fact, that this release was shamelessly, let me repeat that, shamelessly underadvertised. I mean come on, this US release of a SACD edition (!) of the album, to go unnoticed is a crime.

I'll be picking it up. I'm a big fan of Hopes and Fears and the single "Snowed Under".

I cant wait. When I first heard about them I refused to like them as I thought they were Coldplay knock offs. After giving them a chance and listening to them I realized how wrong I was and how great their album is. I hope this one follows suit.

Actually Tommy Keene is still around. Touring as Robert Pollard's guitarist and keyboardist. They just made an album together.

Can't wait. Loved the first one from start to finish.

They've just announced some US tour dates. Interestingly enough, they're playing a small club here in Boston (Axis); must be a warmup tour, I'm sure they could fill a much larger venue.

and...?! what are the other US cities?

I want to go to the Chicago show, but I'm going to try to just buy tickets at the box office the night of the event. It's a risk, but I hate Ticketmaster. If I bought tickets online, I'd probably end up paying 50% more.
