A fantastic place for free music! [duplicate]
The site is http://www.pandora.com
You type in the name of a band you like. It will play some music by that band, and other bands that play the same style of music. You might have never heard of some of the bands that they play. It's a great way to discover new music.
It creates a radio station, that only plays that style of music. You can create other stations too, by typing other band names. After they play a few songs, the music stops, and they'll ask for your email address, your age, and a couple more questions. Then the music starts back, and doesn't stop until you stop it. They've never sent me an email, so you won't be bothered by them. I typed in Spyro Gyra, and now I have a station that plays some really great smooth jazz. I also created a station with George Winston...............
Check it out!
Enjoy!

i've been using Pandora for ages, and its a brilliant service.
If you buy from places like iTunes, like I do, it finds artists you'll never have heard of, and then you can buy them.
I think they use the iTunes database...

I can't believe more people aren't jumping in on this. Maybe I chose a bad title for the thread? Maybe they think I'm spamming? Look at my join date, and see I'm not spamming. Just trying to turn folks on to good music................

you're probably not getting a ton of response, because we had a discussion regarding this service some months ago.
it is great, and it's helped me discover a ton of bands i'd never heard of!
