Application from over a month ago just approved.

I sent in a columbia house app over a month ago and never heard anything about it. I proceeded to purchase some of the DVDs elsewhere. Today I got an email saying that due to an error my app was delayed but it is approved now. Anyway, I am wondering if customer service will have any problems with me returning the movies I don't need? It doesn't seem like they would since it was their error but I don't want to be blacklisted.

When this happend to me I didn't bother keeping the ones I wanted and returning the others. To avoid further problems, I simply REFUSED/RETURNED TO SENDER the entire enrollment package and proceeded to open another account.

You're only allowed to exchange 1 enrollment title. So you either keep everything and enjoy your membership or return them and have them close your account.

Well, that explains my situation. I sent back 5 of the 6 DVDs from my Oct. 2005 enrollment that I got in mid-Jan. 2006 (during that fiasco). I recently tried to sign into that account & it acted like I had closed the account.

I had already gotten my enrollment replacements, fulfilled my account & received all DVDs from that account. Didn't help/hurt me one way or another.
