Question about new account, and fulfillment

Hi,

I recently stumbled across this little gem of a forum. I already held a Columbia House account, but had no idea there was any forum devoted to it until now.

I decided to sign up for a second account, and I just got an e-mail confirmation today. I signed up using the K7L code, which may be to blame for my current confusion. When I log on to the Columbia House website, it says that I have no more purchases to make - in other words, I've fulfilled my membership agreement. Will this not reflect the true status of my account until my enrollment order is shipped out and I've made that payment, or is this a glitch?

I'd like to go ahead and buy my 1 remaining DVD, especially with the offers floating around now for multiple free dvds when you fulfill your agreement. That brings me to my other question. If I use one of these codes to purchase my 1 remaining DVD, do I get to select the additional free dvds at checkout, or do I get credit later that I can use? I will also have to try the webdvd discount, although it sounds like some people have issues with that from what I've read. Thanks.

Recent reports in another thread have said that it now takes a few days before the number of committments required shows up in a new account. Give it a few days and your account will show that you still need to buy one more DVD. It will probably be less complicated if you wait until this happens before placing your order.

I just got approved for a K7L today and it says I have 2 commitments, which is correct since I didn't take the optional 6th title.

Does your account say that you are a preferred member? If you don't use one of the free shipping codes, what do they charge you for shipping, 99 cents or $2.99/1.99?

I did add an item to my cart to check the shipping cost, and it was the non-preferred member cost of 2.99 per DVD, so it seems that although it says I've got no DVDs left to buy, it's still recognizing that I have not fulfilled.

same thing happend to me. I reported a few days ago, I just signed up and register account, but it shows that i'm preffered member, however, i will be charge 2.99 shippnig when i order, but i dont have the option to select to fullfill commitment....jeez, i cant wait to fullfill with b2g2, but if I do it now, I'm worry that they wont count....what can I do? it has being four days already

ps. it seems like it has to do with the "new" preferred member graphic, it's gold. It shows like that in my fullfilled accounts. My new account still has the old graphic
